Annual Holiday Art Show & Sale
Affirmations is hosting its annual Holiday Art Show on December 5th at the Pittmann-Puckett Art Gallery. This event features the works of all our recently exhibited artists. All artwork will be on sale, proceeds to benefit Affirmations. Come get a taste of our community’s art from 6:00 to 9:00pm on Friday, December 5th. The Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation, DHDC, is holding the 3rd Annual Red Party in observance of World AIDS Day. The Red Party raises funds to support its HIV prevention servics in southwest Detroit. DHDC provides free and annonymous HIV testing and counseling services and offers safer-sex skills building workshops for Latina women. In addition, DHDC operates a personal development group for gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning Latino men called Hermanos de Corazon.
