Creep of the Week: Sally Kern

"This stuff is deadly and it is spreading. It will destroy our young people and it will destroy this nation."
Pop quiz time. The above quote is from Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern. What is she talking about?
A) Tainted beef, some of which was consumed by children via school lunch programs before the latest recall was announced.
B) Gang violence, which is on the rise in places like South Central Los Angeles where a 17-year-old football player was gunned down last week.
C) Abuse and neglect, from which an estimated 1,490 children die each year according to the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System.
D) The gays.
If you answered A, B or C you need to get your priorities straight. The answer, duh, is the gays.
"The homosexual agenda is destroying this nation, okay? It's just a fact," Kern told a group of Republicans at a recent small gathering. "Not everybody's lifestyle is equal just like not all religions are equal."
Kern's diatribe was surreptitiously recorded and leaked to the press. The Victory Fund has it up on their site and nearly 300,000 folks have experienced Kern's fear-mongering glory on YouTube.
It's like Kern took talking points from the American Family Association. She says, "The very fact that I'm talking to you like this here today puts me in jeopardy. Okay? And, uh, I'm not anti, I'm not gay bashing, but according to God's word that is not the right kind of lifestyle, it has deadly consequences for those people involved in it. They have more suicides, uh, they're more discouraged, there's more illness, their, uh, life spans are shorter."
Wait, it gets weirder. "You know, it's not a lifestyle that is good for this nation," she says. "As a matter of fact, studies show that no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted for more than, you know, a few decades. So it's the death knell of this country. I honestly think it's the biggest threat that our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam, which I think is a big threat, okay?"
Uh, okay.
And just when you thought it couldn't get even more right wing, Kern manages to incorporate an anti-public school tirade within her anti-gay tirade.
"What's happening now, they're going after, uh, in schools," she says. "Two-year-olds! You know why they're trying to get early childhood education? They want to get our young children into the government schools so they can indoctrinate them."
That's right, folks. Head Start is just a front for the homosexual agenda.
The only way she could make her speech more batshit crazy would be to compare gays to cancer. Oh, wait.
"One of my colleagues said we don't have a gay problem in our community," she says. "Well you know what, that is so dumb. If you have cancer in your little toe, do you just say that I'm going to forget about it since the rest of you is fine? It spreads!"
When asked about her remarks by http://News9.com she had no apologies. ""What I'm saying, I believe in," she said.
