Cultural competency class offered

Lapeer County Coalition to Prevent Hate Crimes is sponsoring a class in cultural competency presented by the Michigan Department of Civil Rights on Oct. 26, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Lapeer County Center Building. The Lapeer County Equal Rights Alliance is donating the venue and dinner for participants.
The two hour program is designed to enhance the participant's understanding of Michigan's most frequently encountered cultural groups. The program helps participants to recognize, understand and control their personal biases and interact more effectively with colleagues and customers
across cultural lines. To learn more or to reserve a seat, e-mail [email protected] or call 810-793-7229.
