EQUAL RIGHTS RALLY

GLBTQ Liberation! Support Same-Sex Marriage!
Saturday, October 4, 2003
1:00 – 4:00 PM
Historic Lapeer County Courthouse,
Lapeer, Michigan
It is time we, the residents of the State of Michigan, stand up for equal rights following the recent resolutions passed by Oakland, Jackson and Lapeer Counties endorsing a Marriage Protection Amendment to the State Constitution defining marriage as between one man and one woman. We must address the continued assaults on the rights of LGBTQ people and same-sex couples.
Following the recent vote in favor of an overtly homophobic resolution by their county government, residents of Lapeer County have cried out to individuals and organizations across the state to make a stand and have their voices heard: End homophobia! End state-sanctioned discrimination!
Join us in downtown Lapeer on the lawns of the oldest courthouse in Michigan!
