Ferndale SheHive Offers Women's Empowerment Circle

After graduating Detroit's Center for Humanistic Studies in 2004, Dr. Corinne Rogers has been working as a psychologist to help individuals combat anxiety, compulsive overeating and a variety of other dilemmas. Although Rogers can usually be found in Pleasant Ridge and Clarkston, she is offering a therapy group at the Ferndale SheHive.
"… as well as provide an opportunity for like-minded women to meet and connect. Women will learn how to claim and own their power and will share successes and support each other," said the event description.
The session shall list 90 minutes, during which the "oppressive standards, spiritual norms and competitive dynamics will be questions and positive, powerful beliefs will be presented." The group's aim is for women to connect with each other and therefore become stronger friends, partners, mothers, daughters, employees and community members.
The group is a multi-month commitment.
The next Women's Empowerment Circle will be held on Monday, Feb. 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The SheHive is located at 2505 Hilton Road, Suite #107, Ferndale. More information about the event can be found by going to theshehive.com, or by visiting gaybe.am/fU.
