Flint comes out strong

The OUT 'N ABOUT collaborative is coming out strong this month. With a bold mission dedicated to the advancement of civil rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual,transgendered, queer, questioning, and intersexed people (LGBTQQI) the collaborative will be breaking the silence about LGBTQ issues on a community-wide basis for the very first time in the greater Flint area through the universal language of the arts.
The group will seek to engage LGBTQ and heterosexual communities in dialogue on LGBTQ issues through arts and cultural events and raise the visibility of LGBTQ communities. For more information and details about these historic events visit http://www.outnaboutflint.org.

Oct. 6 – Nov. 6, Exhibit: 'In Our Family' Celebration of the diversity of family, Monday – Sunday Photo Exhibit – Sloan Museum

Oct 11, 2007 Event: 'Coming Out Stories'
Noon-6p.m. Student, Faculty, Staff and Community share stories at the University of Michigan-Flint, Ellen Bommerito LGBT Center

Oct. 11 Event: ONA Kick-Off Dinner at FIM 5 – 6:30 p.m. prior to Margaret Cho performance at Whiting, catered by Fandangles' Fine Dining
