Gay voices featured at Jewish Book Fair

WEST BLOOMFIELD — Two authors will be featured at the Jewish Community Center's 55th Annual Jewish Book Fair at 5 p.m. Nov. 12 at the D. Dan & Betty Kahn Building in West Bloomfield.
Lev Raphael is known as one of America's earliest "Second Generation" writers. Through fiction and non-fiction, particularly his first novel "Winter Eyes," Raphael explores the intersection of sexual orientation with larger contexts of Jewish culture. The evening's other featured author, T. Cooper, author of "Lipshitz Six, or Two Angry Blondes" and "Some of the Parts," worked in a variety of editorial departments and wrote for several publications, including Teen People magazine.
The event is free. For more information, call (248) 432-5577 ext. 7 or visit http://www.jccdet.org.
