The Ledges Playhouse Theatre Co. and the Lansing Civic Players present “Godspell,” a rock musical with music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, at the Ledges Playhouse in Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge.
“Godspell” is the whimsical retelling of the Gospel according to St. Matthew that features an exhilarating score filled with recognizable songs, including the international hit “Day by Day”. Overflowing with irrepressible energy, this classic favorite will appeal to today’s audience with a message of tolerance, kindness and hope that resonates just as deeply as the music.
The show runs through July 8. The performance schedule is as follows: 7:30 p.m. Thursday; 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $12 to $17
