Jim Toy Community Center September LezRead Features 'The Stone Sky'

Queer women looking for an LGBTQ-friendly book club can stop their search with the Jim Toy Community Center's LezRead group. Meeting every fourth Saturday of the month from 4 to 6 p.m., attendees will spend the first hour of the meeting chatting about literature and then spend the second half getting drinks and snacks at Aut Bar. This time around, the book club will read the third novel in the Broken Earth Trilogy.
"For September, we're revisiting N.K. Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy. 'The Stone Sky' is the third novel in the series," write event organizers. "We can't say enough great things about this two-time Hugo Award-winning author! Most book club members agree that the books live up to the hype. Jemisin has truly changed the face of science fiction. Don't worry about where you are in the books. All are welcome to join the discussion!"
Interested new members should email [email protected] to join the private Facebook group. Potential attendees are reminded to bring a small cash donation for the use of the community center.
The event will be held at 319 Braun Ct. from 4 to 6 p.m. in Ann Arbor. More event information can be found on the event's Facebook page.
