District 6 U.S. Congressional candidate Jon Hoadley (D) declared victory on Wednesday, Aug. 4, after earning 52.3% of the vote against primary challenger Jen Richardson.
On Twitter, Hoadley thanked constituents and voters for their support.
I'm thankful to have the support of voters across #MI06. We need fresh leadership in Congress, and I have a proven record as a problem-solver. I'm excited to continue fighting for clean air and water, better healthcare, and investments in our public schools in Congress. pic.twitter.com/XGAQkyyewf

Hoadley also thanked Richardson for her efforts in the primary via Twitter.
.@jensnotrich2020 lives a life of service as a teacher, being on the front lines for kids. Her campaign focused on issues so many of our families face like affordable childcare & the struggle of working people to make ends meet. Our communities are stronger because of her voice.
