Letter: Defending men

This play (“Some Girl(s),") is anti-male. Its as simple as that. From my own experience with women, I can tell you that for every man who is a pig, there is a woman who is a sow. Where is the sympathy for US MEN, for a change? We get shit on by women all the time, too, so things arent nearly so one-sided as male-bashers like Neil LaBute and others like to make out. Also, why do the woman characters have mens names, like Sam, and especially Tyler? Why is it okay for women to be masculine, wear mens clothes, and have mens names like Tyler? Women are allowed to wear either skirts or pants, and have mens names, but we men are not allowed to wear skirts or have names like Melinda, or Jennifer, or Brittany. Why this oppressive double standard? I noticed that at the bottom of the page with this review there was a link for a Web site about cheating husbands and boyfriends that was actually called www.WomanSavers.com!! What about all the wives and girlfriends who cheat, too? Where is the site called www.ManSavers.com?? Men are continually dumped on and blamed for all the evils in our society, while women are allowed full freedom to express their masculinity OR their femininity. Its gotten so bad that I have been forced to change my gender and begin living as a woman.
