Corktown Health Center and its community partners invite southeast Michigan residents who identify as part of the LGBTQ community to participate in a new online survey. The purpose of the survey, known as the Corktown Health Center Community Health Needs Assessment, is to learn about health needs, strengths and challenges of the LGBTQ community in Southeast Michigan.
Findings will help Corktown Health Center understand how to improve existing health services in Southeast Michigan and help create the center’s new five-year plan. The anonymous online survey takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Participants must be at least 18 years of age or older. The survey is available until March 31. Anyone interested in participating can access the survey online at corktownhealth.org or request a paper copy.
“The Community Health Needs Assessment survey is one way community voices will be heard, as we work to ensure Corktown Health Center continues to deliver excellent healthcare services,” said Latonya Riddle-Jones, MD, Corktown Health Center medical director. “The center will follow the survey with community conversations to discuss the results. Through the anonymous survey and community conversations, the center aims to identify new ways to improve health in the southeast Michigan LGBTQ community.”
