The City of Hazel Park and Corktown Health Center are partnering to host a walk-in Vaccine Clinic and Health Fair from 3 to 8 p.m on Thursday, May 13. The center will administer the Moderna vaccine that day, with the second dose being given on June 10.. The vaccines will be administered by staff from Corktown Health Center. The Clinic and Health Fair will take place at the Hazel Park Recreation Center, located at 620 W. Woodward Heights Blvd. In addition to the vaccines, the clinic will also be conducting blood pressure checks and HIV tests.
"Hazel Park has a growing LGBTQ population and is making strides to increase visibility and inclusion," said Teresa Roscoe, Corktown Health Center's chief operating officer. "It makes sense to work together to expand vaccine access in the community especially during evening hours. We are excited about this partnership and encourage everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated. Vaccination protects you, your loved ones and the community at large."
