Membership opportunities at Lawrence Street Gallery

FERNDALE – Lawrence Street Gallery, located in downtown Ferndale, is conducting portfolio reviews for local artists working in any media who are interested in gallery membership. The gallery is an association of local artists, and features exhibitions that change monthly to display a wide variety of fine art. Each member owns an equal share in the gallery and helps run the business.
Artists may mail in their portfolios to: Membership Review Committee, Lawrence Street Gallery, 22620 Woodward Avenue, Suite A, Ferndale, MI 48220. Artists may also drop off their portfolios at the gallery during gallery hours. A committee representative will notify the applicants within two months of their decision.
Portfolios must include the following: the artist’s resume; curriculum vitae or bibliography; 10 to 20 numbered slides or photographs, with a list complete with title, medium, dimensions and price for each artwork; artist statement; and a self-addressed, stamped envelope large enough to hold all contents.
Lawrence Street Gallery will exercise professional care in handling all portfolio materials but cannot assume liability for loss or damage to them.
