Michigan AIDS Fund to hold World of Desserts for AIDS Day

On Dec. 4, the Michigan AIDS Fund will hold their second annual World of Desserts event in honor of World AIDS Day at the Detroit Historical Museum. The event will feature an array of dessert creations from metro Detroit's finest restaurants, caterers, shops and chocolatiers, plus a cash bar and light buffet. There will also be a Sweet Tooth Dessert Contest and entertainment provided by the True Victory Chorus.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Michigan AIDS Fund, which works to prevent HIV/AIDS in the state by increasing awareness and prevention services.
Tickets for the event, which runs from 6 to 9 p.m., are $50 in advance and $60 at the door.
Red Ribbon tickets are $100 and include a Friends of the Fund reception, which includes the 2008 HIV/AIDS Leadership Awards and a vignette from the Ringwald Theater's play "Jeffrey."
