DETROIT:

Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise: Connect the Dots. Nov. 30, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Hosting over 20 area HIV/AIDS prevention services, free confidential and anonymous testing, along with additional health screening such as blood pressure and glucose. Live entertainment, refreshments along with local/state dignitaries. A presentation entitled "Lightening the Torch, Passing the Flame, Keeping it Lit." GENESSEE COUNTY:

Genesee County Health Department; UM-Flint, Wellness Center, FACED, and other CBO's and local churches have multiple activities planned including a Health fair Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. A program Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., with local fraternities & sororities giving info about HIV poetry, local church choirs will sing, HIV positive speaker and a candlelight vigil are planned. Dec. 3 Superior AIDS Prevention Group: Noon. Ecumenical Service and red balloons released with names attached. Distribute dozens of Red Ribbons to local businesses for them to pass out to their customers. 409 E. 5th, Iron Mountain.
