MOCAD Teen Council Applications Due Oct. 23

Teenagers interested in impacting the local art scene are encouraged to apply to the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit's Teen Council by Oct. 23.
"The Teen Council is a select group of young creatives from metro Detroit that come together to empower local youth and to provide safe space for other teens to have fun and explore the arts," write MOCAD organizers. "With the help of museum professionals, these teens come together to plan and produce programming for youth and adults."
And even for those who do not make art themselves, the application is still open.
"No, but an interest in art helps a lot," said the application. "An artist can be a lot of things. If you write, sing, dance, participate in student government, etc., those are all activities that we consider art forms."
To apply go email applications to [email protected] Applications can be found by going online to gaybe.am/oC.
