Dear BTL,
Regarding Mubarak Dahir's Jan. 19, 2006 column "Lesbian mother torn from children." Florida laws are backward. The government would rather let tomorrow's future (children in our society) down than let gays and lesbian offer a healthy family lifestyle where they will be loved. We need to work together and show society that we can raise children the right way and that our sexuality does not interfere with us being parents. We need not fight amongst each other and we need to provide a safe haven at all times for our children. I think these ladies as mothers should work things out for the best interest of the children.
