Movie matinees for the whole family

ROYAL OAK – Landmark's Main Art Theatre in Royal Oak now has a weekly showing for parents, grandparents and other caregivers with babies called "Rattle & Reel," a specially designed day at the movies for folks with small children who often want to see great film but can't.
Every Tuesday at 10 a.m. one of the three films showing at the Main Art will be selected and shown exclusively for caregivers with infants up to 18 months. Special accommodations (diaper-changing station, etc.) and theatre conditions (lower volume, higher lighting) will be provided for the comfort of both babies and care givers.
Admission is only $6 for adults; babies and toddlers are free. Those busy with babies now have a chance to enjoy the best in independent and foreign films for these showings.
Expected featured films include the upcoming "Nicotina," starring Diego Luna (Y Tu Mam‡ TambiŽn); "A Very Long Engagement," starring Audrey Tautou (AmŽlie) and "Sideways," filmmaker Alexander Payne's follow-up to "About Schmidt."
Landmark's Main Art Theatre is located at 118 North Main Street at 11 Mile Rd. in Royal Oak. Rattle and Reel showings are Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. For showtimes and information call 248-263-2111 or visit www.LandmarkTheatres.com.
