A fundraiser is being held to cover Lansing's Goldenrod Record Distribution manager Susan Frazier's medical expenses as she battles acute myloid leukemia.
The event, held at Perspective 2 at 319 E. Grand River in Lansing's Old Town, will take place from 4-8 p.m. March 14. The benefit will feature music, food and a celebration of community.
Through the years at Goldenrod, Frazier has been a tireless promoter of local, regional and national acoustic musicians. She has also worked to bring the music of these artists to her greater Lansing community. Now, she needs the help of the community she assists.
Music will include performances by Sistrum from 4:30-5 p.m., Ferron from 5:30-6:15 p.m. and Nervous But Excited from 6:45-7:30 p.m. There will be a nacho and taco bar provided by Mama Bear's Cafe in Old Town, as well as a white elephant sale.
The suggested donation is $20, but more or less will be accepted on a sliding scale based on ability to pay.
