National HIV/AIDS Testing Day - June 27

Compiled by Dawn Wolfe Gutterman

Now in its tenth year, National HIV Testing Day is an annual campaign produced by the National Association of People with AIDS. During the week of June 13 the U.S. government announced that at least one million people in our country now have HIV/AIDS. The only way to stop the halt of this disease is through knowledge and prevention. Knowing your HIV status is the first step.
So – step up! Step out! And get tested!
For more information on a testing site in a particular area call 1-800-872-2437.
Special thanks to Susan Crandall of the Michigan Department of Community Health for her help compiling this calendar.
