National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and Manhunt call for support
WASHINGTON, DC- The NGLTF and Manhunt.net have joined forces to fight a series of proposed Department of Justice regulations. The new regulations, which are designed to fight child pornography, would require all adult oriented networking sites to keep records of the identity and ages of all persons using and posting on the sight, including copies of their identification cards; and allow the Attorney General to conduct warrantless searches of the offices of such websites. In a post on Manhunt.net, the company says the new regulations would also put no limit on what the FBI could do with the information it collects from such warrantless searches. Any person that fails to comply with the new regulations, which would have the force of law, could face up to five years in prison for noncompliance.
