Respect your needs, Virgo!

Egos are touchy with Sun in Pisces quincunx Saturn in Leo. Whether self-perception is inflated or deflated, most folks want to be more than they feel they are. “Be realistic!” is not helpful advice right now. Reassess your ideals and try to put your expectations into context.

ARIES (March 20 – April 19): You don’t usually have doubts about yourself, but now you’re having your share! Boost your mood with fun and games, and practice just having fun. You don’t always have to win!

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20): Friendships feel unreliable these days. Practical lessons from your parents are at odds with community ideals you want to identify with. You won’t be able to reconcile the two, but you can learn a lot in the effort.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20): What you’re not saying is being heard loud and clear, perhaps drowning out what you “are” saying. You should be the expert in communications, but now even you need help where you normally excel.

CANCER (June 21 – July 22): You love reaching for the moon, but there are needs closer to home demanding your attention. You may get the moon in the long run if you attend to those pragmatic basics right now. Make those dreams a goal, not a distraction.

LEO (July 23 – August 22): Lucky lion! The stars are making a rough ride for others and a rough rider of you! Your challenge is to maintain personal integrity while living up to expectations. You are super, but not superhuman!

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22): This is not a good time to start a new relationship. You need to work on an existing one. How helpful can you be without expecting anything in return? Respect your own needs and limits or nobody else will.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22): When work gets confusing, take advice from colleagues with a grain of salt. Although they do have good ideas, they will quickly put their own interests above yours. Relaxation is important, but elusive. Exercise and sports will help.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21): Playing – or role playing – with authority figures can make you more aware of how you exercise control or yield it. Be clear and careful, but open-minded and creative, in dealing with hierarchies.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20): Focus on your personal and family history to get a better idea of where you’re going. Visit the religious institutions of your family background to clarify what gifts they offered and what baggage you can unload.

CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19): Talk to me, baby! Talk to somebody, anyway, about erotic taboos – common ones you want to break, or your own particular limits or fears. While it may not be time to open those doors wide, it is clearly time to peek through them!

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18): Every relationship involves a clash of values, whether great or trivial. Minor irritations are blown up now, and real conflicts are maddening. Look beyond preferences and dogmas to see what’s really important and what holds the relationship together.

PISCES (February 19 – March 19): If you have any family or personal history of cardiac trouble, do whatever you can to keep your heart healthy. Treat your birthday as a “new year,” and make resolutions you can stick to!
