Q Scopes: Take constructive criticism, Scorpio!

In mythology, Saturn castrated his father, Uranus, and tossed the genitals into the sea, where they arose as Venus. Saturn in Leo quincunx to Uranus in Pisces continues that struggle between invention/rebellion and order/authority. The keys to reconciling these principles are humility, respect for tradition, and empathetic adaptation.

ARIES (March 20 – April 19): Old pleasures lately seem more “old” than “pleasurable.” Take it as a sign of maturity and depth that you find greater satisfaction in productive activities. Volunteer work will offer greater rewards than you can imagine.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20): You can have some fabulous parties, but be very careful whom you invite into your home. You tend to bring home inventive and spiritually dynamic individuals, which sounds good – but lying drunks can fall into that category, too!

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20): Your sign is famous for talking, but you can be an excellent listener. Pay close attention to authority figures and subtle shifts in the chain of command. Measure your words carefully. Your two-cents worth can be worth a lot more than that!

CANCER (June 21 – July 22): New philosophical perspectives can soften recent financial challenges. Whether they facilitate acceptance, cultivate long-range vision, or even offer new opportunities, you will profit from keeping an open mind.

LEO (July 23 – August 22): Be careful of overexposure! Lurid, luscious secrets may be revealed in places that could be damaging. There are people who want whatever you have to offer. Just pick your audience very carefully, and always keep them wanting more!

VIRGO (August 23 – September 22): Your worries aren’t entirely unfounded, but they are largely exaggerated. Work with someone you trust to sort the real concerns from the paranoid fuss. This exercise could strengthen your relationship in ways you’d never thought possible.

LIBRA (September 23 – October 22): While considering long-term goals and ideals, think also about your health. Be very careful now of allergic reactions to medications. Leave your prescriptions to the professionals, but ask questions and keep them on their toes.

SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21): Your brilliantly creative impulses will be more effective if you can curb your rebellious streak and take constructive criticism from experts and guidance from authorities. There are times to storm the barricades, but subversion is generally much more effective.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20): Your usual love of adventure is under constraints lately. Improvements at home can help you to integrate and deepen the impact of lessons and experiences already enjoyed. “What have you learned?” leads to the question, “What can you teach?”

CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19): What’s your fetish? Discussing your darkest, nastiest desires with a trusted friend, a good “sister,” will help you get much clearer about what you really want. And when you know what you really want, you’ll get it so much more easily!

AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18): You may resent your partner holding the purse strings tightly, but somebody has to. Your ideas about creative financing may be too creative for anyone’s good. If there’s anything useful in them, those ideas will survive the scrutiny of a cooler head.

PISCES (February 19 – March 19): Regular, steady exercise is good. Sudden shifts in the routine, especially overexertion, can be dangerous. Discuss any changes with a doctor or trainer. Being wacky at work can get you whacked with harder work. Discuss any innovation with colleagues first!
