In spite of dire predications for our economy, the spirit of giving is not lost in our city. One of Detroit's long-standing landmarks, The Majestic, 4120 Woodward Ave, Detroit, will host a benefit breakfast for Detroit's Coalition On Temporary Shelter (COTS) in conjunction with the time honoured Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Patrons may view the parade from inside the Majestic, or from the new second story "heated" deck, offering a commanding view of Woodward Ave. Breakfast is from 7 a.m. to noon. Parking is available in the lot off Alexandrine. Adult tickets $20 and children under 12, $15. Visit www.majesticdetroit.com to order tickets or call 313-833-9700. Part of the proceeds will be donated to COTS to sustain their mission to help the homeless.
