Suburban Lesbians Of Michigan hold 2nd annual benefit show

Suburban Lesbians Of Michigan will be holding the organization's 2nd annual Benefit on Friday, August 6 at Stilettos. The theme of the evening is "Naughty Nytemare." Live entertainment will be provided by The Impaler, The Undisputed King of S&M and the evening will feature drink specials, raffles, and a DJ.
"The benefit helps us sustain the group throughout the year. This year we hope to raise enough money to get a new membership program for the website and to start the process of registering as an LLC," said Kelly Leszczynski, SLOM's founder.
SLOM hopes to raise most of its yearly budget from raffle tickets sold the night of the benefit. Several companies – including Royal Oak Tattoo, The Dunes Resort, and Windover Resort – have donated gift certificates to be raffled off during the event. SLOM uses the funds raised to promote the group throughout the state of Michigan. The staff is committed to keeping the organization free of charge to its members.
SLOM was established in September of 2002. It was founded by Kelly Leszczynski, the organization's current President. SLOM began as a small online community for lesbians within the state of Michigan. In its first year, SLOM acquired almost 300 members from all over the state of Michigan and Northern Ohio and is now the largest online lesbian community in Michigan. With over 600 members from Marquette to Monroe, SLOM is a vast lesbian network within the state and beyond.
