The New Theatre Project is on the move again

YPSILANTI –
The New Theatre Project announces another move to downtown Ypsilanti and a postponement of the world premiere of "Posing." Unfortunately, the company faced an involuntary release from its space at 220 Felch St. in Ann Arbor after conflicts with the landlord.
TNTP will be moving to 130 W. Michigan Ave. into the newly opened Mix Performance Space. The company will be sharing space with the inaugural show from a new production company that will be releasing additional information sometime in July, as well as a number of local artists wishing to hold performances.
"We're disappointed that our Ann Arbor space didn't work out," says Artistic Director Keith Paul Medelis, "but equally excited for the opportunities awaiting us in our storefront location in Ypsilanti and partnership with the folks at Mix."
"Posing," originally scheduled for July, will now open Aug. 5 and play at 8 p.m. on Fridays-Sundays until Aug. 21. Additional pay-what-you-can preview performances will be held on August 2-4 at 8 p.m.
"Posing" exposes the tensions between sex and love, and the consequences of staying young forever. "Posing" will be under the direction of Medelis and will feature Evan Mann and Ben Stange.
Changes to the remaining season, including some exciting additions, will be announced shortly.
Ticket prices remain at $15 and $10 for students, seniors and industry (cash or check only). Tickets can be reserved by calling or texting The New Theatre Project box office at 734-645-9776 or emailing [email protected].
