Attend Community Events for Transgender Day of Visibility

Events at state Capitol, Five15 focus on resilience, community and transgender Pride

Get set to commemorate International Transgender Day of Visibility, founded by Michigander Rachel Crandall Crocker. On March 28, Five15 in Royal Oak will present "TRANSFORM: A Night of Power, Performance & Pride.” This fundraising event will benefit the ACLU's work for transgender rights, featuring Mimi Southwest and ACLU attorney Jay Kaplan.

"TRANSFORM is more than entertainment — it's action. At Five15, we stand with the trans community by raising visibility, funds and awareness. Every ticket and tip donation supports the ACLU's fight for equality. We want guests to leave inspired, informed and ready to make a difference," Five15 owner Gary Baglio told BTL. Visit Five15.net.

On March 30, Inclusive Justice Michigan, Equality Michigan, Gender Identity Network Alliance and Stand with Trans will host a community rally at the Lansing Capital Building at 2 p.m. The gathering aims to uplift, amplify and celebrate transgender individuals through community solidarity.
