Underage drinking – who is at fault?

In response to Affirmations’ new program dealing with underage drinking (“Affirmations launches new program to combat underage drinking, BTL issue 1828), why are we picking on bars and restaurants that support LGBT people when it is the occupants who might slip a drink to those under age? It is a societal problem that we associate drinking with partying. I think if they reach out to local GSAs and youth groups to get them hooked on Pepsi or cola, then we might have a shot. We must encourage safe places instead of bar scenes. Those who think a small drink will not hurt anybody must realize it’s a felony.
