UofM to hold LGBT event series

ANN ARBOR – University of Michigan Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Ally student organizations, with coordination by the Office of LGBT Affairs, will hold a series of events for the LGBT and ally community beginning Monday, March 6. The series, dubbed The Best Week Ever, is actually a two-week series of activities to provide visibility and community to the LGBT and ally community while recognizing the specific challenges that the community faces. The week will include discussions on Transgender Healthcare, Drug Abuse in the LGBT Community, activism workshops, the Gender Bender Revue, discussions on the future of Queer Studies, and an Open Skate at Yost Arena.
The week's anchor event will be on Monday, March 13, 2005, with a rally on the Central Campus Diag featuring spoken word and songs performed by UofM students.
