Five15 Media, Mojo and More in Royal Oak has several big events coming up – from movies to art to more drag queen bingo.
On Thursday, Oct. 8, the store is hosting a movie night in conjunction with LGBT Middle Eastern group Al Gamea. There will be socializing and several films for all to enjoy.
Then, on Oct. 10, the store will feature the Bunderland Art Show. The art, devised by Detroit-area illustrator, teacher, graphic designer and College for Creative Studies graduate Heather Hansma, features brightly colored bunny rabbits that represent cartoon-like version of icons and pop culture archetypes.
The opening reception for the show will be held from 8-11 p.m. at the store. The party will feature a live performance by Detroit band Macrame Tiger as well as DJ Pone and the Boy and an opportunity to enjoy wine and snacks.
Lastly, Five15 will be hosting a special Sweetest Day version of Drag Queen Bingo with drag queen diva Sabin calling the numbers.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the event and show begins at 8 p.m. For groups larger than six, reservations are recommended.
