The Malebox Bar is hosting a benefit show at 10 p.m. Nov. 14 to raise funds for Wonderful Animals Giving Support. WAGS is a program of the Ferndale-based Michigan AIDS Coalition, a non-profit HIV/AIDS support and prevention agency, that helps people living with HIV care for their pets by providing food and veterinarian health care.
The evening at the Malebox will include music, dancing, singing and drag queens. There will also be door prizes given out, a 50/50 raffle for a cash prize and drink specials all night. The Malebox Bar is located at 3537 E. Seven Mile Road in Detroit.
The cost of the event is a $5 donation, which includes one door prize ticket. Extra tickets will be given out for every extra dollar spent over the minimum donation.
