Women in the Arts Festival this weekend

EAST LANSING Women in the Arts Festival/Circe is an annual festival filled with arts, crafts, workshops, food, comedy, and music created by women. Join us Nov. 9-10 at Edgewood United Church located at 469 N. Hagadorn and support women artists and musicians for a weekend full of fun.
Doors open Friday evening at 6 p.m., Craftswomen will show and sell their art from 6-8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday. Performances begin Friday evening with comedienne Mimi Gonzalez and special guest Barb Barton at 8 p.m. The fun continues late Friday night as WITA presents God-dess & She at Club 505 located at 505 E. Shiawassee St. in Lansing at 10:30 p.m.
The festival doors reopen Saturday at 11 a.m. with a variety of day-stage performances and workshops. Visit http://www.witafestival.com for detailed schedules. Food will be available for sale both days courtesy of the SISTRUM Cafe´. The music continues Saturday evening with a performance by Amy Steinberg with special guest Nervous but Excited at 8 p.m.
