Taking our inspiration from the current exhibition “Celebrate People’s History,” Stamps Gallery invites you to join us in creating large-scale protest banners and making your own political poster and buttons at this drop-in workshop. The workshop will be led by Stamps Lecturer Andrea Cardinal, founding member of Talking Dolls Studio, Detroit, with support from Kate Lind and Nate Stevens from Pincause. Participants will explore methods of creating messages and visuals along with historical design and composition and how they continue to influence and inspire present day resistance materials. Materials will be provided. Wear clothing you are comfortable with getting dirty (paint and markers!)

Please register for the workshop in advance via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/political-banner-poster-making-workshop-stamps-gallery-tickets-42726525187
