About PFLAG Genesee County
"PFLAG" is Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians and Gays. We are a national support, education and advocacy organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) people, their families, friends and allies. The Genesee County chapter of PFLAG meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 2-4:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Flint, which is located at 2474 S. Ballenger Hwy. We have 3 seperate support groups: Parents, Families, Allies; Lesbians, Gays and Bisexuals; Transgenders. Following support groups is a time for fellowship and refreshments, proceeded by the program portion of our monthly meeting. A variety of topics of relevance to the LGBT community, their families, and allies are covered during these programs. Each year in July we have a Cook "OUT", and in December we have our Winter Celebration Potluck.
