Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays/Detroit will award three $500 scholarships for the school year beginning September 2005 to residents of Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties.
In order to apply, or to nominate someone else for the scholarships, visit PFLAG Detroit's web site at http://www.pflagdetroit.org or send the name, address, and phone number of the nominee or applicant along with a 300 word or less essay describing how the individual has shown support for LGBT individuals or programs to the PFLAG office. Mail application materials to PFLAG Detroit, P.O. Box 1169, Royal Oak, MI 48068-1169. The application deadline is March 31; awards will be given on Aug. 31.
