12th Annual LAHR Prism Awards Oct. 12

LANSING – The Lansing Association for Human Rights will present the 12th Annual Prism Awards on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
According to LAHR, the awards are a way to honor "incredible community members and allies who have made extraordinary contributions to the Lansing area LGBT community."
This year's Prism Award recipients are MSU student activist LaJoya Johnson, MSU Police Lieutenant/Ally Sue Busnardo, Greater Lansing Gay Men's Chorus Music Director Peter Morse, community volunteer/Davenport University Corporate Relations Director Cindy Whittum, former Granholm Deputy Press Secretary Mary Detloff, and area business owner John David Hinkle.
The evening will include entertainment from "Inside Out" and treats from Portable Feast.
