DETROIT – There's no better accessory to a 20th century design than a vintage little black dress. On Friday, April 21, be first in line to experience the Michigan Modernism Exposition Gala Preview Party benefiting the Detroit Area Art Deco Society. In addition to getting an exclusive look at mid-century design from over 80 exhibitors, DAADS will wow patrons with a vintage black dress fashion show and an exhibition featuring prints by famed architecture photographer Balthazar Korab. The 7 – 10 p.m. gala will be held at the Southfield Civic Center.
Tickets for the are $50 in advance and $65 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by visiting http://www.daads.org or by calling the reservation line at 248-582-3326. Proceeds from the preview party will benefit DAADS scholarship, restoration and preservation programs.
