Michigan Pride At-A-Glance

June 24. Noon. The annual Michigan March will step off from Riverfront Park, making its way through the streets of downtown Lansing to the Capitol Building.
1:30 p.m. On the lawn of the Capitol the marchers will assemble for the LGBT Civil Rights Rally, which aims to draw attention to issues affecting the LGBT community. The Rally will feature statewide leaders and politicians who will highlight the most critical needs of this community.
After the Rally, the crowds will return to Riverfront Park to celebrate at the Michigan Pride Festival, until 8 p.m. Dozens of organizations and businesses will have booths.
Nighttime. There will be a dance party in the heart of Lansing's Old Town District. Close out Pride with Dance-N-Ride, hosted by Michigan Bearfest, featuring special guest DJ Jimmy of Partners Bar in Battle Creek. Tickets are $5 for 18 and over. Proceeds benefit Michigan Pride. Shuttles will run from the parking ramp at 115 S. Grand Ave. beginning at 8 p.m. and select host hotels at 10 p.m.
