DETROIT – The all-female musical "Ladies Preferred" played to a nearly full house Sept. 24 at 1515 Broadway in Detroit. The production was produced by Curtis Lipscomb, KICK Agency's executive director, and directed by Detroit's Jocelyn Bellamy. The live band K-Mo Soul accompanied the balladeers as the lights and outfits changed to accompany each act. KICK is a nonprofit community agency that aims to raise funds to open an African-American LGBT Welcome Center in Detroit. The agency's 4th annual holiday event, "A Black & White Affair," is set for Saturday, Dec. 9. For more information, visit www.e-kick.org.
