Popular Nightnotes series to feature two renowned musicians

BIRMINGHAM – The popular Nightnotes concert series presented by Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings will feature cellist Debra Fayroian and pianist Maria Meirelles in recital at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at Hagopian World of Rugs in Birmingham.
As a cellist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and at solo and chamber music appearances throughout the United States and Canada, Debra Fayroian has captivated audiences with her musical insight and beautiful tone. She'll perform Suite for Cello by Gaspar Cassado and Suite No. 1 in G Major by J. S. Bach.
Maria Meirelles will join her for Beethoven's Sonata in D Major, Opus 102, Number 2 for Cello and Piano. Audiences and critics throughout the United States and Latin America have praised her eloquent style, beautiful tone and brilliant technique.
Detroit Chamber Winds & Strings is an ensemble of musicians drawn primarily from the Detroit Symphony and Michigan Opera Theatre orchestras. In addition to presenting the five Nightnotes performances, DCWS also presents a nine-concert subscription season at various locations in the metro area.
