Longtime community activist Richard A. Chizmadia and his partner of 13 years, Richard A. Hobson, both life long residents of Michigan, were joined together in a formal Civil Partnership ceremony in Zuerich, Switzerland on Jan. 8. The ceremony formalizing their partnership was held in the morning with friends at the Zuerich city hall. Switzerland is the only country in the world that the people voted to give the same full legal status to same sex couples as they do to opposite sex couples. They are currently living in Switzerland on a three-year assignment.
