Not Just for Kids season wraps with musical 'Henry and Mudge'

ANN ARBOR – The 2006-2007 Not Just for Kids series concludes with the adventures of "Henry and Mudge," brought to life on the stage of the Michigan Theater on Sunday, May 20 at 1:30 pm. The Theatreworks USA production is based on the best-selling children's books series by Cynthia Rylant.
Galumping Mudge weighs 182 pounds. Henry doesn't, since he's just a little boy. When Mudge, a very big dog, and Henry move to a new house in the country, Henry's lonely. The musical follows their adventures together and apart and examines the meaning of true friendship.
The one-hour-long performance is appropriate for kids from pre-kindergarteners to third graders. The Not Just For Kids live theater series for families is presented by Pfizer. The "Henry and Mudge" performance is sponsored by Gretchen's House Child Development Centers.

The Michigan Theater is Ann Arbor's historic center for fine film and performing arts.
