A2CT Junior Theatre serves up 'Stone Soup'

ANN ARBOR – Ann Arbor Civic Junior Theatre presents the children's classic, "Stone Soup," adapted by Karen Boettcher-Tate and directed by Anthony Heaphy. Production dates are May 17-20 at Washtenaw Community College's College Theater. Performances are Thursday, Frida, and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., with matinees Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
In this hilarious update of the classic story by Karen Boettcher-Tate, fierce dragons have been terrorizing the village for years. When two brave knights vanquish the beasts and become instant celebrities, it does not sit well with the mother of a gentle soul who would rather cook than fight. Secret identities, scheming parents, and, yes, stone soup, simmer in this delightful children's play.
"Stone Soup's" talented cast features Sarah Hopp, Maggie Hopp, Aaron Wilbanks, Alina Frye, Lena Mitchell, Graham Taylor, Joe Brabenec, El Berg, Celeste Arruda, Thomas Donahue, Sabra Satz-Kojis, Sofia Kromis, Zaria J. Jones, Billy Reece, Ryan Mull, Mikala Cooper, Victor Cooke, Richard Graham, Laurel Hooker and Katie Fuller.
Tickets are $5 for all seats. This production is appropriate for ages 4 and up.
Tickets are available at the A2CT office at 322 W. Ann St, 734-971-2228, or at the door subject to availability.
