Affirmations' Larkin appointed to FernCare board

Affirmations Community Center Health & Human Services Coordinator Knoll Larkin has been appointed to serve on the first board of FernCare, a free medical clinic serving the community of Ferndale. The clinic, which will be run by volunteers and responsive to the needs of the community, hopes to open as soon as the paperwork is completed and there are enough volunteers.
"I'm very excited to be a part of a group of citizens and Ferndale residents working to establish a free clinic in the city," Knoll Larkin said. "I'm also thrilled Affirmations will be represented in the process."
Larkin works tirelessly to insure LGBT people are represented in community health services. To volunteer, contact Citizens for a Fair Ferndale. To contribute financially to FernCare, Ferndale's first free health clinic, send checks to FernCare c/o Citizens for a Fair Ferndale 398 W. Hazelhurst Ferndale, MI 48220.
