Steppin’ Out, organizers of the annual AIDS Walk Detroit in Royal Oak, are hosting a slew of events in June and July to raise funds for their cause.
First, all during the month of June, SEE Eyewear will take 20 percent off of an entire order when the buyer makes a donation of $10 or more to Steppin’ Out at any of the five SEE Eyewearlocations in Michigan. SEE Eyewear will match the donations made to Steppin’ Out at the end of June. Locations are in Birmingham, Somerset Collection North, The Village Rochester Hills, Ann Arbor and Eastwood Towne Center.
Then on Friday, June 5 at 7 p.m., the organization will host Stampin’ Up For Steppin’ Out. The evening of scrapbooking and cardmaking fun is good for all ages – no experience necessary. Participants will make three cards of each type: graduation, Father’s Day and weddings. Light refreshements will be served. The cost of participation is $20.
Later that weekend, catch Steppin’ Out in their booth at Motor City Pride in Ferndale on June 7. Steppin’ Out is still seeking volunteers for the event to work in two hour shifts.
Lastly, Steppin’ Out will host a Wine Tasting Event at 5 p.m. July 11 at the Filipo Marc Winery in Clinton Township. The event welcomes those ages 21 and older to taste, learn and go on tours of the winery. Light accompaniments will be served with wine. Tickets for this event are $30 per person.
