Michigan LGBT and Ally Voter Action Town Hall Event

The Affirmations Community Center in Ferndale and Equality Michigan are organizing a Voter Action Town Hall meeting and action day that will be held at Affirmations Community Center on Sept. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
The project is aimed at voter engagement as well as supporting the passage of non-discrimination ordinances in cities around the state.

The Affirmations Community Center in Ferndale and Equality Michigan are organizing a Voter Action Town Hall meeting and action day that will be held at Affirmations Community Center on Sept. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
The project is aimed at voter engagement as well as supporting the passage of non-discrimination ordinances in cities around the state.
The Voter Action Town Hall will include a panel discussion by members of the Unity Michigan Coalition as well as phone bank training and phone bank session. There will also be a canvass action day on Sept. 22.
The event is a part of a larger campaign that both organizations have undertaken, intended to energize the LGBT and ally population by drafting and implementing non-discrimination ordinances in Jackson and other Southeastern Michigan cities, volunteer recruitment for voter a registration drive, Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts and community outreach.
Light refreshments will be provided.
