VIDEO: Hillary Clinton Comes Out In Support Of Marriage Equality

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton announced her support for marriage equality for same-sex couples in a video posted to the Human Rights Campaign YouTube channel on March 18.
"LGBT Americans are our colleagues, our teachers, our soldiers, our friends, our loved ones," Clinton says. "And they are full and equal citizens and deserve the rights of citizenship.
"That includes marriage."
She continues, "To deny the opportunity to any of our daughters and sons, solely on the basis of who they are and who they love. Is to deny them the chance to live up to their own God-given potential."
In Dec. 2011, before the United Nations Human Rights Council, Clinton advocated for gay rights claiming, "It should never be a crime to be gay." However, Clinton's March 18 announcement is her first official and explicit endorsement of same-sex marriage.
Clinton's announcement places her in the company of several potential Democratic presidential candidates on the issue of same-sex marriage.
