NATIONAL – Late October, TheTransGenTimes.com (TGT), based out of California, launched as centralized news source for the trans community.
Pulling together related content in a Huffington Post style newspaper, TGT provides readers with easily obtainable information on up to date happenings in the national spotlight of the transgender community.
"I created TGT to amplify the voices of my Trans* Sisters and Brothers. To provide necessary information and a platform for TGs who would otherwise be silenced. The reception we have been receiving from our community is overwhelming," TGT Founder and owner of TransGen Media Company, Rachael Rose Luckey said.
"Information is power. A well informed community is essential to marching our movement forward. There is still a lot of work to be done in order to gain acceptance and tolerance from mainstream society. TGT is positioning itself to be on the front lines, providing information to both our community and those that would marginalize us," Luckey said.
The front sections of the paper include: international news; business news; youth' health, beauty and fashion; entertainment and arts; faith, spirituality and religion and comics.
