AIDS Partnership Michigan and HIV/AIDS Resource Center merged earlier this year to strengthen the response to and treatment of HIV in Southeast Michigan. The merged organization officially launched its new brand Dec. 1 – World AIDS Day – and will now be known as "Unified – HIV Health and Beyond." Unified serves 10 counties in Southeast Michigan where 63 percent of HIV-affected Michigan residents reside. Services will be delivered from the three existing offices in Detroit, Ypsilanti and Jackson. Unified will increase capacity in key areas including programming, access to funding, community-based research and delivery of HIV-related healthcare services.
